I suspect it's because mine was out of a 94 that had only V6. From 95 on the 5.0 V8 was a option. I think at least the 5.0 version used the 1320 joint. I don't know about the V6 at ...

Bolting the rear joint in place will give you 1/4" clearance, and when you put weight on the rear wheels, you'll get even more clearance. The T5 is a tad longer, but the stock driveshaft usually fits.

Sep 12, 2010 I decided to use an aluminum DS that was 51 inches center to center. Aluminum reduces vibration problems. My driveshaft only had .500 inches of freeplay.
